Tatar project is dedicated to miniature reconstruction of Kazan Tatar national costumes of various historical periods. We will experiment with historical patterns, unique design elements and techniques contemporary and antique clothes, myths and fantasy without strict rules. So far we are trying to recreate children costumes of the second half of the previous century, especially late Soviet times.
The first doll of the project was a girl of five named Alsu, now she is being reissued and is joined by a boy named Ruslan. They are almost 17 cm or a bit more than 6.5 inches in height, have changeable eyes and faceplates held with magnets. For the first time we used opaque polyurethane in this project to obtain the best results for white and natural skin colours.
One doll costs $180, if you are ordering two at once, you get a 30% discount on the second one (i.e. $306 for two dolls). And you get a free pair of eyes of random colour for each doll.
We donʼt take orders for these dolls at the moment. If you are interested and wish to be informed about the pre-order reopening, please, fill the form below to subscribe to our newsletter.
